Get to Know Us

David Stewart combines a decade of scientific research with management and corporate relations experience. At Quanta we understand collaboration is key to success, and David uses his background working with industry, government, and academia to establish and foster fruitful partnerships.

Dr. Stewart received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from Purdue University. He previously worked for General Dynamics Information Technology supporting the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory. Outside of Quanta, LLC, he serves as the Managing Director of the Purdue Quantum Science and Engineering Institute.

SABRE KAIS, PH.D.

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Sabre Kais is an international leader in quantum information and quantum computation, with expertise in quantum machine learning and quantum algorithm development for applications in electronic structure calculations, material design, data analytics, and global optimization, among others.

Dr. Kais received a B.Sc. in chemistry and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is a fellow of both the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Physical Society. Dr. Kais has published over 230 peer-reviewed papers and given over 170 invited talks. Away from Quanta, LLC, he has served as Professor of Chemistry at Purdue University since 1994.

YONG P. CHEN, PH.D.

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Yong Chen is a world-renowned expert in quantum matter and devices involving systems such as 2D materials, topological insulators, and cold atoms and molecules. He is focused on transitioning quantum technologies for applications in electronics, sensors, energy, and quantum information.

Dr. Chen earned a M.Sc. in mathematics from MIT and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Princeton University. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and has published over 200 papers and given over 200 invited talks. Outside of Quanta, LLC, he has been a professor at Purdue University since 2007, where he serves as the Karl Lark-Horovitz Professor of Physics and Astronomy and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is also the inaugural Director of the Purdue Quantum Science and Engineering Institute.
